Trying to Smile

We found out this morning that this month didn't work and our hearts were broken once again. On to more doctors appointments next week and plan B.
I am going to leave you with part of the song "Smile" and a prayer I say often.

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through for you if you just smile.

"God, please help me overcome what I can't control. Please give me and my husband the pleasure of becoming parents. Please bless my womb and control the destiny you have already written for me. Please allow us the chance to teach a new child your ways and to be able to overcome this obstacle you chose us to have. Thank you for each and every day you give to us and each and every day that we have each other. I want to rejoice in one of your greatest gifts. You have already blessed me with so much, including your love and my husband. In your name I pray and plead again for your greatest love and kindness to bless me with a child. Amen."

Once again thank you all for your prayers and positive comments.
We have not lost hope or faith and will continue to wait on him.

Show Us Your Dress

I am SO excited to say....I'm joining Kelly at Kelly's Korner for "Show Us Your Life-Wedding Dress edition"!!
We got married at The First United Methodist Church on January 6th, 2007. Okay so your thinking wow a winter wedding... well we live in Arkansas and the weather is not always what you think it's going to be. On this day it was SUNNY and 70 degrees outside!!! We could not have asked for a prettier day. That in which made for an even happier bride!!

My dress came from the ever so famous
"Low's Bridal" in Eastern Arkansas.
My Mom and most of my bridesmaids went with me to
make the BIG decision!

I had a diamond white strapless dress with lots of beading.
It fit like a glove!

Mike and I during prayer.

We snuck away from our reception to get some pictures on the golf course. Notice Mike doesn't have his jacket on because it was a little warmer than normal in January.

It was NOT easy to pick from 1210 pictures!! Yes you read that right... our photographer was amazing and took lots of pictures to document our special day.

We will never forget this day in our lives and are blessed with the family and friends that were there to share it with us.

Nothing much

So there really hasn't been much to blog about lately.
We are curtainly in the 2 week wait. I have been trying to keep myself as busy as possible.
I spent several hours in my classroom today trying to get things back in order. I feel like it was a very productive day. I love to rearrange and change things up.
The first day of school will be here before you know it!

On another note... I have a prayer request. Some friends of ours Stuart & Sarah have been struggling with infertility issues and are in need of some prayers. They have been through so much and are hurting right now. Please pray that they find peace and that they don't lose faith or hope. God has a plan!

Luvin' Life

Yesterday Mike and I spent the whole day in Little Rock at the doctors office. It was ALL worth the wait though because we got FABULOUS news in the end! All of my labs thus far have come back normal and my HSG test went well. I'm not going to lie.... it hurt and I was very uncomfortable for a little while but all I was thinking about was the end result! Our prayer was answered though... NO blockage! Mike got to go back with me and hold my hand through it. He's such a sweetie! I don't think I could do any of this without him. He has been to every doctors appointment and is so supportive.

Does your hubby have a hobby?
Mine does!! In the fall it's hunting, in the spring it's bass fishing, and in the summer it's canoeing and golfing. Since water and I don't get along... Mike has been begging me to play golf. He really wanted me to go out and play but I had absolutely no idea how. After some pressure, I gave in and agreed to take some golf lessons. I took my first one today and LOVED it!
He is on cloud 9 right now. HA!
Ms. Jane said I did really well for a newby! WOO HOO
Mike better watch out... HA!

We caught the sun setting on our way home from golf lessons.
It was absolutely beautiful!

Great appointment with new plans!

Mike and I had our consult appointment at the Arkansas Fertility Clinic yesterday. The appointment went great. Dr. Batres was very nice but a little hard to understand being from Guatemala and all. I told Mike as we were leaving that I felt like I had just sat through my first college class all over again. You know how that feels... your lost as a goose with a man practically speaking a foreign language to you and your praying that the person beside you is taking GOOD notes. Well luckily my hubby understood him and took good notes or we would still be thinking .........so exactly what is our next step!! HA!!!!

After a 2 hour doctors visit followed by blood work and ultrasound....we have a plan of action!
I go next Tuesday for another round of ultrasound, blood work and will have an HSG test to check my fallopian tubes. The lab called today to report the results of my blood work from yesterday and they all came back normal! Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

On another note... Welcome baby Mason & Baby Nolan to the world!! July must be the month for babies! Our friends Ryan & Amy welcomed baby Nolan July 2nd. and our friends Jeremy & Ashley had their baby boy Mason yesterday. Both families are doing well and the babies are perfect in every way. Since we were in Little Rock we stopped by to drop off a gift and meet baby Mason. He is so tiny... 5lbs. 140z.

Here's a picture of Mike, Mady (proud BIG sister), & Mason

Here's a picture of Me & Nolan

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Did I mention we were busy? HA....There has been nothing quiet about this week so far or the look ahead... But I love it!!! Yesterday I watched our 2 nephews Jeremy and Jax. We played so hard! Luckily Jax took a 2 1/2 hour nap so Jeremy and I could have some good quality time "pretend fishing" with all of his trucks, boats and little people... HA!
Jeremy with his tough face!

Today I took my sister-in-law Morgan to Conway in hopes of seeing a neurologist. She's been having SEVERE pain in the back of her mouth and has been doctor hopping til she's sick of it!!! Bless her heart... hopeful she'll get some answers and life can get back to normal for her. The rest of the week is busy as well. Tomorrow Morgan and I have several errands to run in town before heading back to Conway. Then heading to Little Rock with Mike for a meeting. I am hoping that we can have a nice dinner before going home. The week's not over yet... we have our consult appointment Thursday at the Arkansas Fertility Clinic. YAY! Please say a prayer for us! We are also going to see a friend of ours who is being induced Thursday morning. Plan on dropping off a gift and hopefully taking a peak at baby Mason !!!
Friday we are taking dinner to some friends of ours who had their first baby July 2nd!! Baby Nolan is perfect in every way and we are so happy for Ryan and Amy!
Saturday we are watching our youngest nephew Jax while his parents go camping. I have lots planned for us to do already. To finish the busy week off Saturday evening Mike and I have a wedding to attend...not sure if Jax will be in tow then... we'll see.

We hope you all are having a GREAT week!

God Bless America

Happy 4th of July !!!

Freedom.... It's not something to take for granted. We should realize everyday not just on the 4th of July the political, social and religious freedoms we have. Mike and I are so appreciative of those who have fought and are fighting for our country. We are praying for the families affected by the war. Mothers and Fathers with sons and daughters overseas. Husbands and wives serving in the military together, miles away from their family and home. Wives with husbands overseas. I have several friends whose husbands are or have been in Iraq. It's a big sacrifice. I hope they know we are thankful for their service!

Father God- please bless our troops overseas right now with a safe return home soon. Please let them know how much we appreciate what they are doing. Give them protection and courage as they fight. Thank you, Jesus, for setting me free on the cross. Amen

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then,
and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of
slavery." (Galatians 5:1)

Mike and I plan on spending the 4th with family. We'll probably do a little swimming followed by a yummy cookout. I am not one to shoot fireworks. I will just sit back and watch as the guys do it all.
We hope you all have a SAFE weekend!
