Showered with Love!

This past Saturday we had our first baby shower!
It was adorable and I couldn't of asked for anything more.
Thanks to all of the sweet ladies that helped make that day so special!
I am still in shock that this is all really happening!... We are REALLY having a baby and this shower was for us?!?! I have dreamed of these moments and they are all happening, right here, right now!
The cake was adorable and delicious!

My sweet Mother-In-Law surprised me with a piece of Emily Ann's bedding!
I just LOVE the fabric that we picked! It will grow with her and we will enjoy it for several years to come I'm sure!

Adorable decor!

We got several things and are so thankful to those who took the time to come.
I feel a little more prepared and we just hope and pray Emily Ann stays put for a little longer so we can get a few more things squared away!

Stay tuned for baby shower #2 which is this coming Saturday!

Busy Me!

This past week/weekend has been a little crazy! Had fun but so glad it's over.
We survived our first child birthing class! HA...I only had to redirect Mike's attention a few times. It's a 4 week long course and we go every Monday evening in October. I was a little skeptical when I signed us up because I feared we would get stuck with a 70 year old retired nurse as our teacher showing videos from the 80's! HA!
Thankfully that is not the case! We have a wonderful labor & delivery nurse teaching us and our class is REALLY small... only 2 couples! I find that odd because out of the size of Conway you would think there would be more people being educated in child birthing. It's okay with us though... due to the small class size, she is throwing in the baby basics class for us as well! She is going to teach how to swaddle, bathe, change, etc... your baby! It will be a great thing for Mike to see.

On Thursday not only did I celebrate being 31 weeks pregnant but it was my 25th Birthday!!
What a special birthday it was! My last birthday before becoming a Mother!

My sweet in-laws gave me a sewing machine, which I am so excited about trying out! I think I will attempt to make a few burp cloths first. That should be safe! HA
My darling hubby gave me a jelly watch, a birdie Pandora charm and a YUMMY cake!! When I say YUMMY ya'll, I mean it was the best thing EVER and so cute!! Seriously!
Patti Cakes did a great job!
But nothing can top the sweet gift of a miracle growing in my belly!
I'm SO in love with this child!

Game Day

GO HOGS!!!!

Mike and I went to the Razorback game yesterday and boy was it a game!
A BIG game!!!
We rode up with his Dad and a friend and then met up with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Matt and Morgan! They flew in for the day from Ohio to see the Hogs play!

Too bad we lost. It was a great game though! We led almost the whole game but ended up not quiet making it. Hopefully we can win the other games and finish good! We have a great team this year with a bright future ahead!

This will be the only game Mike and I will be able to attend this year because we are getting closer and closer to Little Miss Emily Ann's arrival and the farther along I get the more swelling begins to happen!
So needless to say when we got home last night, I had large sausage toes and no ankles. YIKES!
I sat most of the game too and didn't have to walk far at all because we have an awesome parking pass! I suppose it's just part of the 3rd trimester.

We had to get a picture by this awesome ride! HA
It was a "red out game" and everyone was suppose to wear red..... well let's just say that this pregnant girl could not for the life of her find a red shirt to cover this large bump of hers! HA
So black and red it was! Oh well!

Prior to game time we stopped at this cute little maternity shop "Two Chic" in Fayetteville.
It was hilarious because remember who I rode up with... 3 men! My father-in-law, Zack a family friend and Mike.... So here we ALL go into the maternity shop.. I told them they could stay in the truck, I would only be a minute but they insisted on going in! HA.... Such troopers!
I was in desperate need of a new pair of maternity jeans and just couldn't pass up this Razorback Smocked Dress and little tutu onesies! THANKS FIL!!!

She can call the Hogs next fall in style!
Let's hope she's not "High Maintenance" but isn't it cute?!?!

Tutu Cute!

Master Bedroom Edition

Show Us Where You Live Friday- MASTER BEDROOM

Welcome to our master bedroom! As you can tell I love BIG dark furniture!!! Our bedroom furniture came from National Home Center. We bought it when we got married and still lived in Conway. We absolutely love it and are so glad we bought it when we did. The bed post at the head of the bed can move to the foot of the bed as well.... love that you can change it up a bit.
Here's where I need help! I am wanting some curtains but are unsure of exactly what I want. I have an idea but hadn't made the plunge to buy them yet! I have never been a fan of curtains but it gets too bright in our room.... we are going to have to do something, especially with a baby on the way!
We chose not to buy the attached mirror to our dresser. I didn't like the shape of it and it was optional. I found this mirror at Hobby Lobby... 1/2 off of course!!

This is the wall at the end of bed. Mike needed a place to sit and put on his shoes and I just liked having a bench in the room. Can you guess where I bought it???? HA
Hobby Lobby is the place! The pictures above the bench are from Kirkland's.
Our armoire holds our t.v.! The huge picture above my jewelry armoire is from National Home as well. My mother-in-law has the other picture that goes with it and hopefully one day when I have enough room for both of them I can get it from her.... they are beautiful together!
Thats all folks. Hope you enjoyed the tour. Check out the host of Show Us Where You Live by going to Kelly's Korner.

Do you Esty?

I love shopping on Etsy! I discovered it a few years ago and can't get enough of it! Slightly addicted.... I guess so! HA
Now that I am pregnant I have actually started buying stuff on there, not too much just a few things!
I have a large list of favorites and am holding off until after our showers to buy a few more things!

Browsing Etsy makes me wish I knew how to sew!
Most of it looks so easy and I'm pretty crafty.
Just think of all the things I could make for Emily Ann! HA

These are a few of my favorite things!

Happy Shopping!

Grow Baby Grow

Here we are.. 28 weeks 2 days pregnant!
I feel and look HUGE!
I am ALL belly which I guess is a good thing because it will be easier to lose when I have her.
Starting to get somewhat uncomfortable. The tops of my ribs hurt and my feet and hands have begun to swell. Time to start really limiting being on my feet and such...
this is going to be hard for me. I am miss independent and find it much easier to do it myself than have someone else but I'm going to have to stop and rest!

Pregnancy Highlights:

Maternity Clothes: I am wearing mostly maternity clothes now! I had to do a little shopping online because I no longer had much that fit. I can NO longer wear my t-shirts.... need to bump it up a size!
Best Moment this week: Going to the doctor. We had an ultrasound and saw her sweet little profile, pre-registered for the hospital and passed my glucose test!
Gender: IT'S A GIRL!!! Emily Ann
Movement: She moves often, especially when I am sitting still or laying down! It's the best feeling EVER! Her movements have become bigger and stronger and hurt sometimes.
Food Craving: milk and just food in general! HA
What I miss: Sleeping through the night and sleeping on my belly! Bending over and moving at normal speed! HA
Sleep: It's getting harder to sleep... thankfully I am able to cat nap throughout the day if needed! Mike's recliner and I are getting along really well right now!
What I am looking forward to: Lots....other furniture pieces to come in, bedding & canvases to get finished.... Seeing a finished nursery!! Oh and of course our Baby Shower!!
Belly Button: It's popped and stretched.
Stretch Marks: None and I'm lathering the Coco Butter on to hopefully prevent!
Symptoms: backaches, rib pains, swelling, tired
