Baby Book

I purchased Emily Ann's baby book!
It is SO stinking cute. I had been debating on which one to get.
This is the "The Pink Carriage Memory Baby Book" by Penny Laine.
I am eager to start filling it out.... Just hope I don't forget to take it to the hospital.

I am not only going to record everything in here but I am also making a scrapbook!

This is the family tree inside the book! I love the detail!
I can't believe I am 26 weeks pregnant!! Time is flying...

Resting & Nesting..

That's what's going on around here!.... A little resting and a lot of nesting.

The past 2 days I have worked on my closet and Mike's closet. Thank goodness it's finally done! I rearranged our fall and summer clothes and took the unwanted to a local consignment store. I should have taken a before and after picture but didn't get around to it. After assessing my closet I QUICKLY realized that I am in DESPERATE need of maternity clothes! I have 16 weeks left in this pregnancy if I make it to my due date of December 9th!
It is so hard to find anything right now in stores because we are in between seasons. Sadly there is not ONE store in our town that carries maternity! Can you believe that? So luckily I hit a sale online and got some CUTE stuff using gift cards I still had from Christmas! HA... Can't wait for them to come in!
Here are a few things I ordered..

This will be cute with a pair of leggings and a chunky necklace!

Oh and I did get Little Miss Emily Ann a cute dress for next fall!
She will look ADORABLE in this with some black leggings and a BIG bow!
I hope everyone had a great first day back to school! It felt so weird not going today...
I know I will NOT regret taking the year off when Emily gets here and am so THANKFUL I am able to do it.. So for now I will continue to REST and prepare for her arrival!

Rock-A-Bye Baby...

We bought a chair & ottoman for the nursery!!
I think we will spend a lot of time in this chair rocking our sweet girl.
It's the first piece of furniture to be put in Emily Ann's room!
(Her furniture should be coming in a few weeks!!)

A friend of ours was selling this swivel glider at a GREAT price and it's in excellent condition.. so we couldn't pass up the deal... THANKS Carman! It's a Mandy style "Best" Chair.
I wasn't sure about the color but when I took the fabric for the bedding over to look at it, it went PERFECT!
Mike tagged along to test it out too! HA

It's VERY comfy and smooth!
We can't wait to rock in it!

Nursery Fabric

We have fabric and a plan!!!! Woo Hoo
The past few days I have exhausted myself on how to decorate Emily Ann's nursery!
I have looked at ever website known to man for ideas....
I want the nursery to be very special and perfect for her! I have dreamed of this moment for quiet some time and now that it is here it was hard to decide what to do!
There are TONS of fabrics and options out there which makes it even harder.
Every time I would think I had made up my mind, I would turn around and change it! HA
But after a days worth of shopping for the "perfect" fabric we have finally picked it and ordered it! YAY!
Drum roll please......................

Her bedding, curtains, changing pad cover, basket liners, etc. will be made out of pieces of these materials.
I can't wait to share with you the finished product!
She is going to have the cutest "crib" on the block! HA
