Oh we LOVE summer! We have spent a lot of time by the pool
this weekend. We are so lucky to live in the same neighborhood as family. Mike's parents and his brother, sister-in-law and 2 nephews live a few blocks away from us. I foresee us spending many hours together soaking up the sun!!!
Last year our nephew Jeremy now (6 yrs.) wasn't to comfortable with water in his face but this year ....WOW..... he is like a fish!! His brother
Jax (2 yrs.) has always loved the water it doesn't bother him a bit! He is jumping off the diving board.... don't worry he has arm floaties on and quickly paddles along. It is the cutest thing!!! Check out the video below of Jax... please ignore my voice! HA

How are ya'll going to spend your summer?
Saturday after the wedding and reception Mike's parents invited us to eat at the restaurant 1620. It is a GREAT restaurant. Since we ate so late we decided to stay 1 more night in the hotel...... WRONG decision! We went to bed at 10:00 and at 11:45 the fire alarm in the hotel started going off and we had to evacuate!!!! WOW.... I was hurrying around like a mad women trying to get my jewelry, shoes, purse, etc. on to get out! Three minutes later they had 5 fire trucks there. Crazy I know. So we came back in after the "all clear" and went back to bed. Well around 1:30a.m the ALARM when off AGAIN!!! We evacuate once again. This time we were NOT happy! Mike and I decided to go ahead and pack our things up and go ahead and drive home. While waiting for Mike to pull the car around and I half asleep in the lobby I over heard a man chewing the front desk workers out because the fire alarm had gone off during his Med School Graduation that was held their earlier that day! We arrived home around 3:30a.m and slept comfortably in our own bed undisturbed.
Amy is 32 weeks pregnant here and is so adorable. Ryan her husband(one on the left) and my husband Mike were being silly and thought it would be cute to "look" like Amy... HA! I am a little concerned about Mike.... he looks like he really is with child!!! HA

The last two pictures tell you a little bit about my husband Mike. He loves to hunt! He killed this pheasant in South Dakota on a hunting trip in 2007. It's a beautiful bird and he loves it so we compromised and I let him put ONE animal in the house... HA. Oh and can't forget about the Ducks Unlimited print above the fireplace. We are hoping it will be replaced with a family picture soon!!!
