Show Us Where You Live: LIVING ROOM

Welcome to our living room!
I love dark wood, so every piece of furniture I have is dark and our floors are dark wood as well. When you see my pictures below you will notice that my favorite color is brown! HA...
Almost all of our furniture came from National Home Center. We have a tray ceiling in the living room which I love!
I plan on having some custom curtains made this summer.

The last two pictures tell you a little bit about my husband Mike. He loves to hunt! He killed this pheasant in South Dakota on a hunting trip in 2007. It's a beautiful bird and he loves it so we compromised and I let him put ONE animal in the house... HA. Oh and can't forget about the Ducks Unlimited print above the fireplace. We are hoping it will be replaced with a family picture soon!!!
Well thats all. I hope you join in all the fun and blog about your living room! Check out Kelly's blog and attach your link!

I hope all you Mothers out there have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!! And for those who want so badly to be a Mother but are having trouble conceiving , I pray that God will open our wombs and bless us with a precious gift... a child!

Count your blessings!

As I was reminded today by another blogger, this week is National Infertility Week. For any of you who know what its like to struggle with this then you will truly be touched when you hear this song! It is SO true! Most people take things for granted but I hope you count your blessings! I know I do every night! I am blessed with a husband that I love and who loves me and everything I have been given. God is good!
(You will have to go to the lower right hand side of my blog and click the pause button on my ipod to listen to the youtube song.)

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny came to The Wilkins House this morning... haha! Mike is such a sweetheart. He surprised me this morning with an Easter basket! I am sure he will assist me in eating all the candy out of it though. I felt bad because I hadn't gotten him anything. (We usually don't exchange Easter gifts). So I made him breakfast!! It was a great day over all despite all the rain.

After our Easter lunch I came home and took a nap! I usually squeeze a nap in on Sundays... especially when it is a rainy one like today! I was energized after my nap so I took on the task of making my first diaper cake. It is not totally finished but I just couldn't wait to share what it looks like so far!! I still need to paint the initial. I will post more pictures after I finish the other one . It's a safari theme... I fell in love with this giraffe print ribbon and had to use it!

I hope you all have a great week!

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter!! I am so excited about our Easter service at church tomorrow and eating lunch with our family! We are so blessed to have such a loving and caring family who lives very close to us. We never have to travel far to see them and they are always here when we need them! I hope they all know how much we love them! Today I put together some Easter baskets for our nephews Jeremy and Jax. They aren't anything special but I thought I would share a picture of them.
Tomorrow after all of the Easter festivities I am going to attempt to make 2 diaper cakes for 2 of the baby showers I am hosting. I spent 1.5 hours at Hobby Lobby today trying to decide on fabric and ribbon. I am such a picky person and a perfectionist... so we will see how this goes! I will post pictures of the end results.. Wish me luck! haha Here is a picture of the one I am going to try and duplicate for one of them! Istn't it CUTE? I hope you all have a blessed Easter Sunday!
